The Position Group Life Coordinator is being advertised to the Mosaïek Ministry Team.  It is a full time position which will function in the Community ministry.

Main areas of responsibilities: 

  • Schooling: Grade 12
  • Tertiary Education: Secretarial Diploma, or
  • Experience: 2-3 years related experience in customer services and administration
  • Mosaiek Member – Pre-requisite
  • Excellent Computer Literacy Skills
  • Confident and pro-active individual with exceptional administrative skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload, meet deadlines and work under pressure. 
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Patient. Assertive. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.  Proven track record of high level of initiative
  • Above Average Communication Skills.  Able to Multi-task.
  • Planning and coordinating skills. Ability to organize and manage event logistics
  • Willing and able to work evenings and weekends
  • Own transport with a valid driver’s license.

Responsible For:

  • To provide an efficient and professional liaison and administration to Community.
  • Plan, execute and attend community, new group opportunities and relevant events/projects in Dieper, Nader and Verder
  • Follow up of general enquiries
  • Assist members in finding spaces of community in Mosaïek
  • Distribute and follow up Planning Centre enquiries: Registrations and groups
  • Update Planning Center Groups and registrations database
  • Preparation and distribution of weekly material (guidelines and relevant documents for group leaders and facilitators)
  • Follow up roster of volunteers for special services and weekly services 

Purpose:

This position entails administrative support of the Community and Group Life ministry of Mosaïek. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting congregation members in finding spaces of community and following up on processes and projects. Administrative functions including, but not limited to, administering of volunteer team schedule, general correspondence to volunteers and members.

Minimum requirements and qualification:
  1. Passionate energetic person
  2. Must be a student of Theology of have Theology Degree
  3. Minimum of 2 year  experience working with teenagers
  4. Mosaiek Member – Pre-requisite
  5. Excellent Computer Literacy Skills
  6. Confident and pro-active individual with a passion for youth and excellent people and communication skills.
  7. Ability to lead a team and work as part of a team.
  8. Ability to prioritise own workload, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  9. Attention to detail.

  11. A flexible approach to work & working hours.
  12. Own transport with a valid driver’s license.
Responsible for:
  1. Managing and driving youth events (Mezo Live) once a month on a Friday evening
  2. Planning and organising appropriate youth and community programmes
  3. Preaching at Mezo at least once a month
  4. Help with planning and executing of Mezo Camps, retreats and help plan and execute special events
  5. To be part of planning and executing Sunday Mezo Service in conjunction with the Mezo Leader
  6. Pastoral care and relationship building focusing on the Micro Community – connecting with teenagers weekly
  7. Facilitate effective communication management with regards to social media
  8. To provide an efficient and professional administration and support service to Mezo
Purpose:
This position is suited for a young, energetic person with good interpersonal skills and a passion for youth (13 -18). Ability to meet deadlines and function as a contributing team member in the New Generation Team. Honest, reliable, accurate planning and execution skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to connect with teenagers and willing to work under pressure. Musical ability is always a plus when working with youth. The incumbent will be responsible for connecting with teenagers and building relationship. Part of this position is to be part of the team that ministers to schools in the community.
