Elvis Blue Music Academy at Emthonjeni Zandspruit

Emthonjeni Community Centres is proud to announce that on the 9th February 2012 the first guitar lessons for the Zandspruit children took place as part of the new Elvis Blue Music Academy which has been started in partnership with us!

The Elvis Blue Music Academy has  a vision to empower orphaned and disadvantaged youths who are vulnerable to the surroundings and circumstances witha view to better themselves and thereby better their community. The arts, and in particular Music, play a major part in our culture and therefore are seen as a powerful communicative tool.

In partnership with his sister, Kona Brown (Mrs. 2012 United Nations) they have successfully piloted the ElvisBlue Music Academy in the Alexandra Township and have now started the roll out at Emthonjeni Community Centres, Zandspruit.
