Who we are

What you believe about people, the world and life matter - it drives what you do and the way in which you work. We are proud to be part of a global family with a distinctive ethos, based on the life and message of Jesus. Oasis works to transform some of the world's most marginalised communities through innovative health, education, housing and other community development initiatives.

In South Africa, Oasis is based in the north-west of Johannesburg - doing all we can to ensure that everyone gets the opportunities they need to reach their full potential

This section will give you a taste of how we view the world and tell you more about the communities where the people that make up Oasis South Africa work and live. But, if you are an impatient activist kind of person, you would probably want waste no time and find out what we do right now!

What we do

If you've already visited the ‘Who we are' area you'll have an idea of what we believe and what we want to achieve here in Cosmo City and the surrounding communities. You might wonder how we plan to do this.

It all starts with our believe that every person matters. Our approach is built around people who are committed to see themselves and their communities transformed - no matter how much or little they know, who they are or what they believe. Together we grow, equip and inspire each other to make a difference in five key areas in our communities through many different but overlapping innovative projects.

This is hard work, but surely the best way to have a long-lasting positive impact on our world.
