Lydenstyd-oordenkings - 11 Maart 2010

Luk 24:44-49 (NAV)

He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms."

Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.

He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high."

Luke 24:44-49 (NIV)

Praying with others

One of the best ways we can help others to come to know their true selves with their limitless potential to share divine life and happiness (after truly compassionate prayer) is to help find the way to leave behind the entanglements of their false, superficial selves and come to their center, to the ground of their being, where they are constantly coming forth from the creative love of the Father. And this is precisely what the simple method of coming to presence, which we call Centering Prayer, is seeking to do. To share Centering Prayer with others is a preeminent way to fulfill our Christian mission, and to open out to our brothers and sisters the Way, the Truth, and the Life; that is, the Good News.
