The day-and-a-half event consists of 6 keynote-sessions, and an elective of four break-out sessions. Keynote-speakers include:

Johan Geyser (Keynote)

Dr Johan Geyser is passionate about the local church and the development of leaders, and has served as Cultural Architect at Mosaïek since 1987. He has doctorates in Theology, Educational Psychology, and also serves as part-time lecturer at the University of Johannesburg.

David Benner (Keynote)

Dr David G. Benner is an internationally known clinical psychologist, author, spiritual teacher and consultant in personal transformation. Apart from a MA and Ph.D. in clinical psychology and studies at the Chicago Institute of Psychoanalysis, he has author/edited 25 books and has held numerous clinical and academic appointments in Canada, the United States and abroad. Special lectures that he has recently given, includes Dynamics of personal transformation, Mysticism and contemplative practices and Inter-faith religious/spiritual dialogue. Beyond his work in psychology and spirituality his other principal interests are sailing, cycling, jazz, and hiking.

Ron Martoia (Keynote and Break-out)

Dr Ron Martoia is a transformational architect. His passion is helping people, and the organisms they serve, design, build and experience revolutionary change. His area of expertise is on the new and shifting landscape of church/cultural intersection, where he helps churches consider how they can reshape their theological outlook which in turn will shift and adjust their ministry trajectory and cultural interface. Ron is an established author and his doctorate is in the area of leadership and culture.

Trevor Hudson (Keynote)

Trevor Hudson has been in the Methodist ministry for over 30-odd years. Presently he is part of the pastoral team at Northfield Methodist Church in Benoni as well as preaching in a part-time capacity at Mosaïek. Apart from being a pastor, he is also an established author. He is deeply committed to the work and ministry of the local congregation and believes strongly that for something to be real it must always be local.

Juliet Benner (Break-out)

Juliet Benner's longstanding interest in art, theology and spirituality makes her a valuable resource in the use of religious art as a resource in Christian contemplation and spiritual formation – this being at the core of the writing, retreat work and spiritual direction she has provided over the past several decades. Juliet obtained her B.A. in English Literature at McMaster University and studied theology at Wheaton College Graduate School. Her first book – Contemplative Vision: A Guide to Christian Art and Prayer – will be released in spring 2011.

Theo Geyser (Break-out)

Dr Theo Geyser is passionate about missional churches. He completed his MTh (cum laude) and his doctoral studies at the Rand Afrikaans University, about missional actuality within a post-modern community. He is married to Wilma, and lives in Stellenbosch with their three children, Carissa, Milan and Lucca. Theo is a part-time lecturer at the University of Stellenbosch, with post-graduate training in Missional Transformation. At the moment he is involved at his Stellenbosch Congregation and he is responsible for the establishment of a new church in Cape Town, known as InVia. Theo is currently busy with his doctoral studies in Nijmegen, Netherlands. He is fanatical about fishing, and believes that one of the forgotten commandments in Genesis 1:26 ...rule over the fish of the sea... should be restored in every missional church.  

Stephan Joubert (Break-out)

Dr Stephan Joubert is energized when he can serve people in and around the church in an out-of-the-box manner. He describes himself as a full-time scholar of the Word, people, good books and life itself. He is a Professor in New Testament at the University of Pretoria, and serves various congregations as writer, speaker, minister and leadership consultant.
