Vision
As Mosaiek seeks to be a Contemplative Missional Community, Missional Expressions desires to cultivate an environment where each Mosaiek soul can become awake and alive to their unique missional calling (Ephesians 2:10). It is our desire to affirm each one to live their every day life of missionality as they become Christ's light and love in this world which groans in darkness.
Values
We especially value people in areas of
Poverty: Remember the poor. Galatians 2:10.
"When you do it to the least of these you have done it unto me." Matt 25:31-46
Planet: God asked man regarding creation to work it and take care of it. Genesis 2:15
Peace: Grace and peace in our communities: "You are the light of the world" Matt 5:14
Community Projects are where we invite the Mosaiek community into something bigger than ourselves by offering opportunities to give together as a community within the rhythm of our Mosaiek calendar year
People/Poverty Project during the season of Lent and Easter
Planet Project during Spring in September
Peace Project during the Advent and Christmas season
Missional Dialogue Groups is a place to explore, learn and struggle through the issues of the 21st century by open conversations. How do we live out our missional calling in the worlds we find ourselves? Each Dialogue Group session will contain a different relevant topic of missionality. As different topics are discussed, it is our hope that organic groups will arise and take on these various issues as their missional calling.
Missional Pilgrimages are spiritual journey, an inward and outward journey where pilgrims leave their known worlds to experience God in places outside their comfort zone and where God is already working. Often these places are where there is much pain and suffering. It is an opportunity to listen, love and learn from others. Transformation can happen when we experience life outside our own world and then couple it with heartfelt reflection and desire for God to change us. Pilgrimages are an ancient practice of repentance and healing which is relevant for Christ-followers today.
Alive: people, planet and peace projects, dialogue groups, Uitwaarts, pilgrimages
Alive: discovering and discerning ones own missional calling
Affirm: within one's own community coming to a commitment to one's missional calling
